The Poetry Month Project awards a total of four prizes. Only original poems written by McPherson College students are eligible for these prizes.
Readers’ Choice Awards
Voting for the best-liked original poems will be open on April 29 and 30. The three poems that receive the most popular votes will each win one of the Readers’ Choice Awards. The author of each poem will receive a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. No student poet can win more than one Readers’ Choice Award.
Best of the Poetry Month Project Award
Members of the English faculty will select one poem to receive the Best of the Poetry Month Project Award. The winning poet will receive a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate. The same poem is eligible to receive both a Readers’ Choice Award and the Best of the Month Project prize.
